Illustrator | Designer | Storyteller

Hi there! My name is Anna and I’m a children’s book illustrator (and sometimes writer!) based in a rural-ish suburb of Chicago with my one husband, two pups, and three sons. I enjoy making everything into a project, whether it’s a custom branded jersey for my son’s baseball birthday party, or embellishing a simple recipe with fancy plating and surprise herbs.

Although I earned a BFA in illustration from Syracuse University, I’ve spent the last ten years unlearning the teachings of traditional art school and collecting skills as a production artist for a commercial printer and a graphic designer for a boutique agency. Now that I remember how I like to draw, I’m combining skills from school with collected trades to create work that feeds my creative soul. I love to design simple, vibrant, shape-driven illustrations with texture that breathe life into stories filled with everyday struggles and joys.
